Health and Safety

Health and Safety needs to be taken into consideration when filming my music video. With the locations I used, there were many health and safety issues I needed to be aware of. Filming at Blackpool Beach has many risks which could follow during production. The water is a major issue as there can be many damages to both the equipment and the people. I had to make sure that the camera was securley attached to my hand so that if it was to fall off it wouldn't fall onto the ground it would hadn from my hand. I made sure my hand was placed securley in the strap.

Hazard: Water damage to camera
Controls: Make sure that the camera is securely fitted onto my hand/tripod.
Risk: High

As I had to travel to the beach, I made sure that and adult was there to supervise and make sure that there were no accidents or problems, and also to make sure we go there safely. My dad joined us at the beach and made sure that our stuff was looked after and that we were safe.

Hazard: Accident on the beach, looking after equipment
Who is at risk: Me and the artist
Controls: Making sure that there was supervision.=
Risk: Low

Another health and safety issue which could arise would be sharp objects in the sand. I had to be aware of this as we were bare footed and make sure that other nor myself were at risk of getting injured.

Hazard: Standing on sharp objects
Who is at risk: Me and the artist
Controls: Making sure the area was clear
Risk: Medium
